Monica Sommerfeldt Lewis, Archer Lion, Chippewa Falls, WI
Monica, is President and Founder of Archer Lion, Inc., a wholesale supplier of windows, doors and exterior building products in Wisconsin and Minnesota. A love of building drew her to this industry. After 18 years in the electric utility business, Monica decided it might be a little late in life to start climbing ladders and swinging hammers, so she decided selling to the building industry was a wiser choice.
By utilizing educational opportunities through the University of Housing, Monica has earned her Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation, her Certified Graduate Associate (CGA) designation, and has completed her Train the Trainer teaching qualification. Monica has completed Lead Paint Certification and completed MABA’s Contractor Series required for her Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Credential.
In addition to selling materials, Monica has added several service features to Archer Lion’s offerings. Your Ageless Home provides consulting for homeowners and builders in the design of new and existing homes to best serve the needs of the 50+ generation. She also added Virtual Home Exteriors providing virtual home makeovers on-line to builders, remodelers, and homeowners. And, Archer Lion does installed sales of windows and doors helping to ensure quality installation of products.
Archer Lion has been a member of Chippewa Valley HBA since 1997. Monica serves as a State and National Director, Build-PAC Alternate Trustee, and Government Affairs Director for CVHBA. She was awarded the Associate of the Year in 2008 by WBA and the CVHBA. She also received NAHB’s Bill Polley Build-PAC Award and Build-PAC Associate of the Year in 2009.
Monica is a Wisconsin native, is married to Mark Lewis, has 2 daughters and one stepson, and 6 grandchildren. She is an avid Packer fan, trap shooter, and upland game hunter. Other hobbies include perennial gardens, sewing and holiday outdoor light displays.
