Don Esposito, Veridian Homes, Madison, WI
Don Esposito brings over 30 years of business experience to the homebuilding industry. Don currently holds the position of Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development at Veridian Homes, LLC, where his responsibilities include land acquisition, entitlements and development. Recently, Veridian was nationally recognized with the 2008 Builder of the Year Award by Professional Builder magazine, one of the most prestigious awards in the building industry.
Prior to his association with Veridian Homes, Don served as Executive Vice President for Veridian’s predecessor company Midland Builders, Inc. (Wisconsin), Division President at Homewood Corp (Ohio) and Director of Development at Matzel & Mumford (New Jersey), all predominately single family developers and builders. Don also worked as the Project/Operations Director of K. Hovnanian (New Jersey) and was involved predominately in multifamily development and building. In the non-residential side of the industry, Don has been associated with Amega Corporation (Houston) as Vice President of Marketing after joining the commercial development company as a Production Manager and also with Proctor & Gamble (Ohio) as a Project Manager of industrial projects for its Engineering Division. Don’s formal education includes an undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Brown University and a graduate MBA from Stanford University.
Don has been very involved in the Madison Builders Association, serving as President, Secretary, Treasurer, Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and has chaired multiple committees. He has been involved on the state level with the Wisconsin Builders Association as a Director, Secretary, and has chaired multiple committees and councils. He was awarded the Rising Star Award in 2006. On the national level Don is a member of the Land Development 20 Club, is a Life-time Spike and is an NAHBRC Certified Builder.
He is also involved in his local community, serving on the Sun Prairie Economic Development Commission, Green Tier Clear Water Initiative, Dane County Stormwater Infiltration Task Force and Hammer with a Heart. He and his wife Christine are the proud parents of three sons. In his downtime, Don enjoys gardening and landscaping, gourmet cooking, woodworking and is a Big 10 sports fanatic.
