Basics of Social Networking

Social Media are tools that are facilitating a fundamental shift in the way we communicate. Watch this short video called "The Social Media Revolution" for some facinating facts on the impact of this new medium. While there are a multitude of options, WBA is has chosen to utilize three primary tools to facilitate communication and networking with our members:
Twitter was created as a way to let people send quick, short messages to a wide audience. These messages, called "tweets," are limited to 140 characters each and can be instantly sent to your contacts, which are called "followers" in Twitter.
If you create a Twitter account for your business, make sure you list your business' name instead of your own name, and your business' Web site, location and a sentence telling people what your business is about.
