This spa-style bathroom is designed in the spirit of calmness. Earth-tone colors and natural slate provide the feeling of warmth. Water gently cascades from the wall-mounted faucet. The existing space was unfinished and roughed-in to accommodate a typical lower-level bathroom. Low duct-work and other mechanicals needed to be relocated to maximize ceiling height. Rough plumbing was previously installed in the concrete floor and needed to be relocated to meet the new design. The project required a tremendous amount of skilled framing due to curved walls. The floating vanity required adequate wall-bracing due to the overall weight of the vanity, Corian countertop and sink.
