Name
The name of the council shall be the Wisconsin RemodelorsTM Council.
Membership
Members: Any builder, associate member or employee of a firm that is a member of the Wisconsin Builders Association is eligible for membership in the council.
Dues: The council board of directors may establish annual membership fees to help defray the cost of providing member benefits.
A portion of these dues shall be forwarded to the National Council at NAHB, which will provide direct member services to each council member.
Termination of membership: Any member whose dues are not paid 30 days after the due date may be dropped as a council member. Such action will not affect the member's status within the WBA. Any council member ceasing to be a member of the WBA shall automatically cease to be a member of the WBARC.
Council Board Of Directors
The governing body of the Wisconsin Builders Association Remodelors Council shall be the board of directors. The board shall provide membership services, undertake membership marketing, and oversee the council budget. The board may adopt rules and regulations to affect the business of the council. All actions of the board of directors and the council must be consistent with the By-laws, policies and procedures of the WBA.
Board Membership: Board membership shall be drawn from the WBA membership at large.
Board Composition: The board shall consist of the Chairman, Remodelor Vice Chairman, Associate Vice Chairman, council subcommittee chairs and representative for from each local Remodelors Council chapter. The WBA Executive director shall be a non-voting member of the council. At least half the members of the council board shall be builder members of the WBA.
Selection and Tenure: The President of the Wisconsin Builders Association shall annually appoint the chairman and vice chairman of the council to serve until their respective successors are appointed. The vice chairman of the council shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the President Elect of the WBA and will solicit recommendations for council appointments from current council board members. The chairman of the council shall be a voting member of the WBA Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Resignation or Termination: Council board members may resign by submitting a written resignation to the council chair and the President of the WBA. The President of the WBA may remove any director with just cause. The President may remove any director missing three or more meetings of the council board in one calendar year with a recommendation from the council chairman. Any council board member ceasing to be a member of the WBA shall cease to be a director or member of the council.
Ammendments
The council board of trustees shall adopt Rules and Procedures for its council. Those Rules and any subsequently proposed changes must be approved by the WBA Board of Directors.
Reporting
The council shall be subject to the general rules and procedures for the WBA board of trustees and shall report to the board of trustees at each of their meetings.
