WBA Executive Vice President WBA Insurance Services Chief Executive Officer Bill Wendle, ext. 11 bwendle@wisbuild.org
Bill manages the affairs of WBA and WBA Insurance Services. He travels to local associations representing the WBA and listening to member concerns. Bill works closely with the WBA senior officers in developing the WBA budget and regarding other association issues. He coordinates and staffs the WBA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and represents the WBA at public events. He directs the WBA and WBA Insurance Services staff in consultation with the WBA senior officers and WBA Insurance Services Board of Directors.

Director of Government Affairs Brad Boycks, ext. 16 bboycks@wisbuild.org
Brad leads WBA's efforts in the legislature, representing affordable housing. He is responsible for helping the association establish legislative priorities, working with legislators and regulators to get those priorities addressed, and interpreting new or proposed laws. He staffs the Government Affairs Committee.

Kate manages the political activities of the WBA, including political fundraising and contributions, grassroots lobbying, campaign involvement, and the annual WBA Business Day in Madison. She is responsible for the administration of WBA's political action funds and serves as the staff liaison to NAHB BUILD-PAC. Assists WBA lobbying efforts by monitoring state legislation, agency rules and regulations, and representing the WBA to state legislators, staff and agency personnel. Kate staffs the Building a Better Wisconsin, Building Industry Council, and the Government Affairs Committees.

Director of Development Council Patrick Stevens, ext. 22 pstevens@wisbuild.org
Patrick is responsible for the day-to-day operations of WBA's Development Council. The Council, dedicated to promoting responsible, quality and cost-effective land development practices, consists of professionals in the land development and related industries from across Wisconsin. On their behalf, Patrick works directly with state agencies to affect meaningful changes while regulations are being created or revised. Patrick also maintains an exclusive ListServ for Council members, coordinates Council meetings and tours, and provides timely electronic communications to keep members informed and give them the ability to respond quickly to emerging issues. Patrick also manages the Builders Legal Action and Research (BLAR) Fund, which pays for legislative research projects and legal actions challenging laws or local ordinances that harm the housing industry.

Director of Safety & Education Cindi Gruebling, ext. 18 cgruebling@wisbuild.org
Cindi is the WBA's primary contact for information regarding existing state and federal laws, codes and regulations affecting WBA members, including the UDC, OSHA, and the Fair Housing Act. Cindi researches issues and provides analyses and updates directly to members and through the association's publications. She develops and administers professional educational programming, such as seminars and workshops, for WBA's members. Cindi also staffs the Education and Building Codes committees as well as the Local Officers Council.

Jane is the primary staff contact for local associations, WBA leadership and members regarding issues relating to the operations and activities of WBA and NAHB. She works to improve the services offered to members of the WBA and provides support to local associations regarding their membership efforts. She coordinates the association's annual membership contest and staffs the Membership and Convention Committees.

Annie is responsible for producing the WBA's publications, including the Wisconsin Badger Builder magazine and the Wisconsin Building News newsletter. Annie also produces informational and promotional pieces as needed and coordinates WBA's other communications, including updates to the WBA website, as well as media and public relations activities. Annie staffs the WBA Foundation, the Public Relations and the Executive Officers Council.

Kim provides administrative support for WBA/Build Wisconsin staff as needed. She is the primary telephone contact and the initial contact for visitors to the WBA and Build Wisconsin offices. Kim maintains all membership, Board of Directors, and Committee records. In addition, she is heavily involved with the WBA Convention, annual golf outing, educational programs, recording registrations, producing reports, and creating many supporting materials. She coordinates the arrangements, mailings and agendas for the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and other meetings.

Kathy is responsible for the financial records of WBA and Build Wisconsin. These include financial statements, cash management, budget, audit, and payroll. She assists in recording and reporting the PAC and Builders Direct Fund. Kathy is also responsible for the daily operations of the WBA headquarters building, including maintenance and tenant relations. Kathy staffs the Finance Committee and Associates Advisory Council and assists with staffing the Foundation Board and Build Wisconsin Board.

Mark assists with various accounting functions of all entities within the organization, and is the primary person responsible for the PAC and Builders Direct Fund recording and reporting. Mark also assists with managing building maintenance issues.

Karl is responsible for the operation of all aspects of WBA Insurance Services. His responsibilities include the marketing and administration of member benefit insurance programs to WBA members. These programs include the WBA Group Health/Life/STD Insurance plan, WBA Voluntary Benefits Plan, the WBA Business and Workers Compensation Advantage. Plans are marketed through a network of authorized independent agents and Karl is responsible for the development of this network.

Megan is responsible for customer service as it relates to the insurance products and services offered to members of the WBA. She is knowledgeable of all insurance products represented by WBA Insurance Services, including the WBA Health Insurance Plan, group life, group short-term disability and the voluntary benefits program. The voluntary benefits program includes, term life, long-term disability and dental insurance plans.
