WBA Leadership

The Wisconsin Builders Association is guided by its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. The Board of Directors is comprised of approximately 150 members throughout the state and the Executive Committee is a group of 11, including senior officers.

The Board of Directors meet three times per year at WBA Member Meeting Days, and the Executive Committee meets an additional 4 times a year. New Executive Committee and Board of Directors members are sworn in each January.

Ashly Hartmann, Associate Vice President

Ashly, Vice President of RVI High Performance Building Experts, serves our association from her home in northern Wisconsin. RVI provides building science education to tradesmen and homeowners by delivering efficient solutions that maximize home performance, provide overall comfort, and bring peace of mind. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Ashly continually seeks opportunities to extend the educational reach of RVI to builders and tradesmen eager to understand the science of building. Family and exploration are the cornerstones of Ashly's heart, propelling her on adventures across the globe. (HBA, RVI Insulators)

Andy Dongarra, Associate Vice President-Elect

Andy has been in the Real Estate industry for 27 years. Initially working in the title industry, he managed the closing department as well as handled construction disbursing with builders directly. He has been an active member of SCWBA since 1998, was SCWBA President in 2020, and has been a State Director since 2022. In 2017 Andy received the SCWBA President’s Award. Andy was the Rock-Green Realtor Association’s Affiliate Of The Year in 2006 and has held multiple committee seats in that association. In 2023, Andy received the WBA Associate of The Year award. Andy currently manages the South Central Region’s Mortgage Team for Johnson Financial Group. (SCWBA, Johnson Financial Group)

Brian McKee, NAHB State Representative

An active participant in his state and local home builders associations, McKee has held a number of leadership positions in WBA. He has been active as a WBA director since 1998 and served as an Area Vice President and Parliamentarian. McKee chaired the Building & Grounds Committee and the Public Relations Committee and has served on numerous other committees and councils, including Finance, Government Affairs, and Governance Bylaws.  In 2009, McKee was honored as WBA's Builder of the Year.  McKee is also involved at the national level and has served as a National Home Builders Association (NAHB) Director since 2008. McKee is an active member of the Madison Area Builders Association (MABA) and served as its President in 2002.    McKee has chaired MABA's Government Affairs committee and has served on several other committees, including Past Presidents, Finance, Silent Auction, and Parade of Homes.  In 2002, McKee was honored as MABA's Builder of the Year. David Belman, Past Officers Representative

Belman founded Belman Builders, the firm that handles all scattered site construction in 2000, where he also developed the companies unique vision, mission culture, and Porch to Patio Protection program. He also is the Builder lead for Operation Finally home in Wisconsin, an organization that provides mortgage-free homes to wounded war heroes and has completed six projects for the organization. A guest teacher at Waukesha County Technical College for their architecture/design and Real Estate Class, Belman is also a licensed Broker and Realtor. When David is not working (which is not very often) his wife Susan claims he is hyperactive and enjoys working out, playing basketball, Tae-Kwon-Do, swimming, playing games with his daughter, or watching movies. Mike Turowski, Emerging Issues Group Chair

Michael Turowski is a results-driven leader with a distinguished career in the construction industry. Currently serving as the Residential Construction Sales Manager for Werner Electric Supply, Mike brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and a proven track record of accomplishments to his candidacy for the Board of Director's position at the Metropolitan Builder's Association of Milwaukee. He is a valued member of the MBA's Construction Advocacy Council (CAC). Mike was a key participant in the MBA's Electrical Task Force established by the CAC, where he has contributed significantly to help find work-a-rounds and alternatives during the current electrical supply chain shortage. He has recently been entrusted with leading the CAC's Utility Work Group, showcasing his commitment to driving positive change within the association. Mike’s dedication extends beyond local initiatives. Within his first year of membership of the MBA, he went out to IBS and will make that an annual occurrence. Michael represented the MBA and the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) during a critical engagement in Washington, DC, where he joined the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in discussions with senators and representatives, advocating for the needs of the construction industry.
