Join Now Page Updates

In the last several EO Updates, I asked for your help in updating your association’s landing page with your information including dues fees, as we plan to remove our fillable join form and place the NAHB’s Join link in its place. Thank you to those who went in and input and updated information. For those who didn’t, I went in and put in the information the best I could. Please verify everything on your landing page is correct and change it if it not prior to July 1 when we “go live” with the new join now link. We are looking forward to having a much easier application process which will be a benefit to us all.

Membership Training for Locals

In case you missed it, NAHB recently announced that applications are now open for two Fall 2019 opportunities: The Membership 360 Campaign and Statewide Drive Training. Both programs help HBAs strengthen member engagement and will help make your next membership drive better than ever!

If selected, NAHB staff will work directly with your HBA in the following areas:

  • Discovery and Orientation - HBAs will participate in an initial discovery process to identify usual membership activities (e.g., events, programs, budgets, etc.) and the HBA's current value proposition.

  • Recruitment - NAHB will host onsite training(s) before the actual drives kick off to provide recruiters with the tools to identify ideal prospects and talking points on how best to frame "the ask" and close the deal.

  • Onboarding and Retention - After a successful drive, participants are encouraged to use the retention strategies they learned during their drive training to onboard and orient new members to the association.

Any interested HBAs should submit as soon as possible. Applications are open through June 30th.

To apply or find out more details, please visit at www.nahb.org/Membership360.

If you have any questions, please contact Isabel Shocket at IShocket@nahb.org or 202-266-8286.

Construction Signing Day

During Brad’s trip to NAHB’s meeting in DC a couple weeks ago, a discussion was had surrounding earned media and the ability to highlight students going into the construction field. We wanted to share these stories with you in case you are looking for ways to get involved with the schools in your area!
