December EO Update

January 22, 2021 Update:
As you all likely saw in Monday’s email, we have cancelled the in-person installation celebration and member meeting scheduled for January 22. That means that we are moving forward with the member/bod meeting at the same times it was previously scheduled via Zoom, and will have the virtual installation at the end of the BOD meeting that afternoon. We will also not be having the second portion of the EO Summit. The current plan (pending confirmation/details) is to have a Celebration of Housing event after the member/BOD meeting on July 14 at SentryWorld. After the culmination of the meetings, we will have a celebratory dinner featuring an emcee, a mid-year update from WBA President Abe Degnan, and presentation of awards. We would then have the WB Foundation golf outing the next day. We may try to plan the EO Summit leadership training to take place in conjunction of this as well, however further information regarding that possibility will be discussed at a later time. Anyone who already purchased a ticket for 1/22/21 will be refunded early next week.
Thirdy on Thursdays
We held our first Thirdy on Thursdays today and featured Holly Hoffman of Sales & Income Tax Advisory Network. They are our latest affinity partner; Holly provides her expertise as a former DOR auditor to those in the construction industry specifically, as Wisconsin’s tax code is complicated. I encourage you to share our social media posts about these events and include the following blurb and jpeg in your membership emails to draw attention to these quick, free webinars as another way to highlight the benefits available to members:

Award Nominations
The award nomination deadline has been extended to the end of May. If you haven’t already, please make sure you send your nominations to Joan.
Confidentiality Agreement
Sarah at ERHBA requested a confidentiality agreement which Robert has drafted. It is posted on the EO resources page under Administrative Documents and google drive under EO Leadership Resources if you would like to use it.
WB Foundation
Just a reminder, the WB Foundation is going through a transition with the resignation of Greg Schaffer as WB Foundation President. Now is a great time for new people to get involved, so if you know of any members who would be interested in serving as a Foundation trustee, please contact Joan.

The Badger Builder
The latest Badger Builder issue should be arriving very soon to all of you if it hasn’t already. I am currently waiting for the final pdf, and when I receive that, it will be going on our website out via email to you all and all members.
