DSPS Recruitment Lists

The WBA regularly purchases the Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services (DSPS) list of credentialed dwelling contractors, electricians, plumbers, and hvac contractors for recruitment purposes, which includes mailing and email addresses. This list can serve as an excellent source of potential member leads in your area. The list contains member of the previously mentioned trades licensees across the entire state of Wisconsin, thus the list includes both member and non member individuals/companies. Any local HBA should sort by municipality or zip code to filter those that fit in their respective territory, and cross reference with a current member list to sort out nonmembers.

NAHB Local Impact Study 2018

When residential construction occurs, it generates substantial economic activity in the state where it takes place. The economic activity generated includes income and jobs for state residents, as well as revenue for state and local governments. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has developed a model to estimate the economic benefits. The model captures the effect of the construction activity itself and the ripple impact that occurs when income earned from construction activity is spent and recycled in the state. In January 2018, NAHB conducted a local impact study on the state of Wisconsin, including a look at the state and metropolitan areas.

NAHB Membership Reports

Monthly reports from NAHB detailing membership numbers. The Membership Summary by State details membership and retention rates by local. The Membership Monthly Report looks at overall membership, anniversary analysis, and dues payment information. Both reports are not released by NAHB until the middle of the following month (ex. May reports not issued until mid-June).

As of January 1, 2021, all local associations need to comply with the list of requirements to receive their quarterly payments:

  • Place the BPA Member Benefit on your local website

  • Send an SBGP-created email to your membership – 1x per quarter

  • Place an SBGP Member Benefit advertisement in your local newsletter (or membership communication) – 1x per quarter

  • Before the end of the quarter, send a screenshot (or email forward) verifying all 3 (three) points to EORevShare@SBGPInc.com. If you have local members that work with SBGP, you will receive a revenue-sharing check from our office by the 15th of the month after quarter-end.  It is that simple.

WB Foundation Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund is an account established by the Wisconsin Builders Foundation to which a donor may contribute and thereafter provide nonbinding recommendations with regard to disbursements from the fund. While federal tax law requires the Foundation Trustees to make final decisions with respect to distributions, the recommendations of the donor—or fund advisor in the event an individual other than the donor is designated to make recommendations—is seriously considered.
